Our online OUPV class, as developed at the start of the pandemic, essentially consists of all classroom lectures and practicals in video format. Each lesson has a video and quiz associated with it. here are also detailed written explanations of all of the content

Students wishing to take the course from the comfort of their own homes may do so using a laptop or desktop computer. Phones are not large enough to allow you the best result. Online courses are ideal for a student who is a self starter and can dedicate the time to completing the course but may not be able to do it at the times our classroom courses are offered. We highly recommend keeping to a schedule and completing the course in 2-3 weeks (the classroom course is given over 2 weeks).

After completing the course, students must schedule the exam in person at the Capitana Maritime Academy in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Appointment can be made by phone or email. There is no additional cost for taking the exam.
This 72-hour class covers the four subjects required for the USCG exam to obtain an entry-level license. Those s bjects include Collision Regulations, Chart Plotting and coastal Navigation, Navigation General, and Deck General.
Cost: $1200 per student
* There are no hidden fees - All books, charts, tools, and exams are included.

Age: 18 years old

Citizenship: Must be a U.S.U.S.izen or a permanent legal resident.

Sea Experience:
OUPV Inland 360 days* operating a small vessel. 90 days of the 360 must be within the last 3 years.
OUPV Near Coastal 360 days* operating a small vessel 90 days of the 360 must be upon near coastal waters beyond the Boundary Line. 90 days of the 360 must be within the last 3 years.

Must complete a USCG-approved OUPV course or pass the USCG OUPV exam.

Must complete a USCG-approved First Aid / CPR course within 1 year prior to submitting an application.

Must obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Card).

Must complete a DOT physical and drug screen no more than 6 months prior to submitting an application.

Pay all applicable fees to the USCG ($145 for an original license).

OUPV PRESENCIAL
License Description
The OUPV license allows transporting up to six passengers (12 in the USVI) on an uninspected vessel in US wU.S.ers. OUPV is a domestic license endorsed for Inland or Near Coastal Waters. Near Coastal endorsements will allow you to operate up to 100 miles offshore. The boats you will manage are generally referred to as 6-pack boats.

The fee includes books, classroom materials, an online study guide, and the four final tests.
The student is responsible for the UGCG Application ($145), TWIC Card ($125), Doctor ($120-$125), and Drug Test ($100-$120) to have the proper SEA TIME for each course.

Póliza de Cancelación
Si tuviera que cancelar su participación en cualquiera de nuestros cursos debe de cancelar 30 días antes de la fecha de inicio. Habrá un cargo de $99.00 para procesar la devolución.
Todos los cursos son en inglés con un vocabulario complejo. Debe de poder leer, escribir y hablar inglés para poder aprobar los exámenes.
Si llega al salón de clases y no puede hablar, ni entender debido al INGLES. No se le devolverá el dinero. Si tiene duda llame a la Capitana Suzy antes de hacer el compromiso como estudiante.

Hay muchas personas en la Industria Marítima que necesitan de estas certificaciones para poder progresar en sus trabajos.
EL USCG exige que el estudiante no pierda ningún día de clase. Si usted se da de baja durante el curso, no puedo permitir la entrada de otro estudiante.
